Brianna Moller Greene was a tenured teacher when she got divorced and was stuck with the bills. She discovered Ebay and quickly started making money turning clothing and other household items online. Soon she was making more on Ebay than she was making in teaching. She took a leave of absence from teaching and decided to never go back. She now has a million dollar e-commerce business across Amazon and Ebay.

Key takeaways from our chat with Brianna Moller Greene
1 – There is no cap on the upside to entrepreneurship
Brianna was a tenured teacher but her contract had a salary cap. No matter how hard she worked, she would never make more money that was listed in her contract.
Entrepreneurship on the other hand has no cap.
When she took a leave of absence from teaching and started making more money online than she ever could as a teacher, she decided to jump ship and build an e-commerce business.
2 – It’s not that hard to get started selling stuff on Ebay
Brianna recommends people look around their house and sell any extra items they don’t need.
Blenders, kitchen stuff are great starting points.
Brianna has had a lot of success selling clothing and she thinks she could make a living selling used clothing on Ebay only.
She also recommends that people find items that they have a natural interest in and get started there.
Briana also does retail arbitrage where she goes into physical stores like Target and picks up items that will sell for more online.
She does online arbitrage too where instead of going to a physical store, she orders items online and then resells them online for more.
3 – Shipping is not that hard either, especially when you do bulk pickup
Many people are scared away from selling online because they are afraid of the extra work involved in shipping.
Brianna shared that you can make appointments with the post office to come to your house. She gets all of her items ready and they pick things up in bulk.
J has sold items on Etsy and likes how easy it is to print out shipping labels.
4 – Private labeling can be done at the Dollar Tree for major profit $$$
Many people don’t get into private labeling because they think they need to do something complicated with manufacturers and they’re scared away.
Brianna recommends just going to a Dollar Tree and picking up items to sell in a bundle.
These bundles could be Easter packets, college care packages, etc.
A $4 bundle from Dollar Tree could be resold as a $40 Easter basket on Amazon.
You could even do Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) if you wanted to.
Briana likes doing FBA and having Amazon handle everything (shipping, returns, inquiries).
Her volume is greater with Amazon and she marks her prices up high enough to account for the extra cost of FBA.
5 – T-shirt design is super easy with Printful and VAs
Brianna has Virtual Assistants make her designs and then she uploads them to Printful, which has integration with other platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, etc.
She likes this product because it takes little time and it’s passive income for her.
She goes in with other entrepreneurs and has since built a group of Virtual Assistants to help them all at scale.
She recommends using Upwork to find virtual assistants.

Great podcast – absolutely fascinating. I thought you said toward the end that Brianna was offering a 400 page pdf document about thrift store arbitrage with a promo code for 100% off. I don’t see it here, and maybe it just hasn’t happened yet, but would love a copy. Thanks for a great show!
